L3 MAPPS Scholarships Awarded to NAME Students

The 2021 L3 MAPPS Scholarships have been awarded to seven Master of Engineering (MEng) and Master of Engineering Leadership (MEL) students in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. L3 MAPPS, a global supplier of marine control systems and naval simulation products, created the endowment to support students in the NAME program with an interest in ship systems engineering, or a background in electrical or mechatronics engineering. A total of $7000 in scholarships recognize recipients for their work in the program throughout 2021, who are selected by the Faculty of Applied Science. The recipients for this year’s awards are:

  • Alice Brais (MEng)
  • Antony Brandon (MEL)
  • Eric Leonhardt (MEL)
  • Madeline Odegaard (MEng)
  • Douglas Prisnie (MEng)
  • Gurjit Singh (MEL)
  • Sudeep Vijayan (MEng)

The MEng students have completed their degrees and are now program graduates, while the MEL students will complete their academic requirements by the end of 2021 and graduate in spring of 2022.
