Dean Marc Parlange welcomes 2017 MEL students.
The department would like to extend a warm welcome to all students starting their Master of Engineering Leadership (MEL) in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NAME)!
On January 3rd, 2017, a welcome reception was held for 2017 MEL students, presented by Dean Marc Parlange from Applied Science, and Senior Associate Dean Darren Dahl from the Sauder School of Business. A joint program between APSC and Sauder, MEL students will start off their degree by taking technical courses from NAME as well as leadership courses offered by APSC. This semester, students will be joining current NAME students in a number of specialized courses, such as “Ship Production & Industrial Engineering” and “Ship Dynamics & Control”. We wish all students starting their new program a successful first semester. Welcome to UBC!
