The NAME program congratulates Mr. Robert Allan for receiving the 2017 EGBC President’s Meritorious Achievement Award. On October 20, 2017, Engineers & Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC) conferred this prestigious award to highlight Mr. Allan’s distinctive and outstanding contributions to his profession.

Beyond Mr. Allan’s vast experience in designing different types of commercial boats, he focused a career on designing innovative high-performance tugboats of all types. Robert Allan Ltd. has won numerous prestigious awards for outstanding vessels including the Z-Tech Series and the RAstar Series.
Mr. Allan is an adjunct faculty member in the UBC Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering program, a mentor for the student design projects, and a member in the Program Advisory Committee.
