Please join us in congratulating the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Winter 2016 graduates, who received their degrees on November 24. The department also hosted a reception after the graduation ceremony to recognize some of our remarkable students.
Christopher Miller (MEng, NAME), was congratulated at the reception for having achieved an overall average of above 90%.
For outstanding accomplishments in Engineering Design, the Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering Design Award went to the “Green Technology Sailing Catamaran” team: Joshua Graham, Christopher Miller, Jonathan Naude and Sunday Young-Aragbaiye. This team designed a high-end catamaran sailboat to be used for charter services. In designing the catamaran, the team utilized green design principles to create an eco-friendly cruising alternative to the standard sailboats used by chartering companies.
